Ian remains personally involved in every commission undertaken by the Practice.
The Practice was established by Ian Maconachie in 1990 to provide clients throughout Ireland with an experienced, independent and personally managed construction consultancy service.
Ian Maconachie is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in project management, health and safety consultancy, building conservation and construction cost management.
His professional experience extends across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and mainland United Kingdom, as well as leisure projects in Italy, Germany and France.
Ian’s work covers both new-build and historic-building projects. His experience includes major shopping-centre developments, banking premises, hotels, leisure facilities, industrial projects, churches, cathedrals, medical facilities, retail developments and residential complexes.
He also undertakes insurance surveys, Value at Risk assessments, listed-building condition reports and health and safety reviews.
Ian holds RICS accreditation in building conservation and combines specialist knowledge of historic buildings with the commercial and contractual expertise of a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
We become an active part of the client’s team, bringing cost, programme, procurement, safety and technical expertise together.
